Story
Woooohooooo, my swim is done!!! I’m still buzzing with excitement at not only the swim but the amazing amount of money you’ve helped me raise on what was a very special day for me. Not only was I swimming in memory of my Dad (see story below) but it was 15yrs to the day that I lost my Mum to cancer too. I was thinking of them in the tougher spots and I know they helped me through…53 minutes, I still can’t quite believe it!
I really cannot thank you enough for your generosity. 🤗 and to those of you who donated anonymously I wish I could thank you in person but I can’t.
Story —— In 2008 we lost my fabulous Dad to Prostate cancer. Sadly by the time it was diagnosed it was too late and had already metastasised to his bones.
On 6th August I will be taking part in a charity swim for the Chestnut Appeal around St Michael’s Mount in Cornwall - no easy swim by any means! I will be swimming with my beloved Dad very much in mind.
The Chestnut Appeal for mens health are raising awareness of this awful silent killer. They are doing their absolute best to help men with preventative health checks as well as treatment and support for those who have it and their loved ones.
Please would you kindly support them by sponsoring my swim. I REALLY do appreciate anything that you can give to help me reach my target of £1,000
Thank you very very much in advance….oh and keep your fingers crossed for a calm sea and no jellyfish!!
