‘Face Your Fears’ Fundraiser: Stand-Up Comedy · 11 December 2015
For almost two years now, I've been a volunteer with Changing Faces, a nationwide UK charity that supports and represents people who have conditions or injuries which affect their appearance. The amazing work that Changing Faces does to support children and adults with disfigurements and advocate for greater awareness and acceptance of 'face equality' is particularly close to my heart, as I was born with a cleft lip and palate and know what it's like to be bullied for looking different.
This is why I've decided to face my fears of public humiliation and participate in a 3-day stand-up comedy workshop led by the very well-known stand-up comedian Logan Murray. The workshop culminates with a show, hosted by Logan Murray himself, where 12 of us will face our fears on stage, each one of us delivering our own material in front of an audience.
Suffice it to say I am absolutely petrified!
Please support me on my road to public humiliation, all in aid of the fabulously important work done by Changing Faces. 100% of all sponsorship and ticket sales will go to Changing Faces to support and represent people with disfigurements across the UK.
