Story

Yo yo! Thanks for getting this far... I'm impressed and grateful.

Speaking of getting far, 26 miles is pretty far, in a car. Running? 26 (and-a-bit) miles is even further, and this is the challenge that me and Clinch are embarking on! And because we didn't feel that this was barmy enough, we decided to do it dressed up as a bumble bee, and a ladybird (Clinch Bee and Jen Bird from now on perhaps...).

I should probably apologise now for all the moaning, creaking and hobbling I've been doing. However, if you enjoyed that (you sadistic lot, you), and can bear with me for 5 weeks or so, you will also have the joy of seeing the agony on my face as I cross that line, which (touch wood) I am determined enough to do!

Well, I'm raising money for the birds, which shouldn't be a surprise to most of you, knowing my weakness for twitching as you do. However, you may be surprised to hear about all the other fantastic things that the bird folk (or RSPB as they are known) do. They stick up for the environment, and now with over a million members, their voice is louder than ever.

For those of you who like their creatures with a bit more growl, the RSPB bought up the logging rights to a big chunk of Sumatran rainforest to save this incredible habitat for exciting folks like tigers to live in!

Anyway, thanks again for making it this far. They say...

'Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.'

I agree, so go for it now, and I will be thinking of all those pennies helping our environment as I claw my way through that last mile on 23 May...
