Story
I am fundraising for my local church, Lochgilphead Baptist Church. The church does such amazing work in our local community, with regular children's outreach through Messy Church, Toddler Groups and Summer Holiday clubs, as well as many other events and groups. However the church building is inadequate for the needs of these growing ministries.
The church has already raised £160,000, but still needs to raise approximately £20,000 towards the cost of a new extension, which will have better facilities so that the church can reach even more people in Lochgilphead.
I am aiming to raise £100 by doing a sponsored Silly Welly Walk with some of the children from the church, including my own children, Louise (5) and Tom (3). We will be getting dressed up in whatever silly clothes we can find (Tom is trying to decide between Rory the Racing Car and a Pirate, while Louise quite fancies being a princess but is worried about getting mud on her dress!) and putting on our wellies for a funny muddy walk up Dunadd Fort on Saturday 9th March.
Please help us raise money for a new building at the church so that we can invite even more of our friends to our favourite church event - Messy Church! Thank you!
