Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I’m Jermaine and I suffer from a kidney disease called FSGS, which has led to me being on the transplant list and currently being treated with dialysis.

Throughout my treatment, I have seen first hand the lack of support and funding there is for research into kidney diseases.

My brother Guy and I, along with David Fisher, from Kidney Research Yorkshire, are raising awareness and much needed funds by arranging a Charity Ball. The flyer is attached to this Just Giving page.

From advertising the Ball on social media, a number of people have expressed their wish to donate, in the absence of being able to attend the event personally.

The hope is that through ticket sales for the Ball and this Just Giving Page, we can raise a substantial amount of money for this worthwhile cause.  Every penny raised will go to the charity.

My family and I really appreciate your support.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

Founded in 1970 as the Yorkshire Kidney Research Fund, we support research into the problems associated with all aspects of kidney disease. Now known as Kidney Research Yorkshire, we rely on donations, fundraising, voluntary support and legacies to help us fund kidney research in the region.
