Story
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the passing of my mother. For the past few years, since I discovered running and the health and mental benefits it brings, I've tried to raise a little cash for charity in every marathon I've run, rather than just run for myself.
For the New York Marathon in November, I'm raising money once again for Macmillan Cancer support, a charity which no-one ever wants to use, but so many of us inevitably will.
The training alone will see me run in excess of 400 miles. If just 50 people sponsored me 10 pence (or 13 cents) for every mile I run, that's £2,000
Thanking you in anticipation.
