Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Here's my story...
Friday 29th April 2011, saw a bank holiday with the Royal Wedding, but for our family, it was a very different day as my mad, precious Auntie Joanne, AJ, fell into her final sleep. After an extremely brave, do not pity me and let's have fun while we still can attitude, her 2 year battle with breast cancer reached an end. I decided that one day, I'd do something daft, something in which AJ would appreciate the daftness of, to raise money in her honour. It may have taken me 5 years, but the challenge is set. On Saturday the 9th April 2016, I'm taking on the Born Survivor Challenge at Lowther Castle - 10km and 30 obstacles of joy. I'm not doing it alone, but with Jess O'Loughlin, my fab friend of 15 years, who has her own reasons and good cause to support, Teenage Cancer. My good cause is Lindsey Lodge back in Scunthorpe as a thank you for all the help and support they gave AJ and UG during their 2 year fight.
Any donations would be gratefully appreciated by everyone in my family who miss AJ everyday, but by those currently still battling and being supported by Lindsey Lodge in the hope that one day we will be able to stop saying goodbye to our loved ones too early because of cancer.
