We have decided to take on a new challenge and what better way to motivate ourselves than by raising money for a fabulous charity.
Charity for Kids is run purely by volunteers and helps children with life limiting/long term illnesses who live within 15 miles of Hastings.
Normally the requests they receive are for specialist equipment, which is not available on the NHS and normally comes at big cost. Their average application is around £2,000 which can include wheelchairs, trikes, walkers and even sensory equipment.
They also have a caravan at Crowhurst Park where families can go on holiday for free and get some respite time away, or simply have a holiday that just wouldn't otherwise be possible.
We are taking on this challenge and all of our money raised will be used to keep the caravan open, which means we can support over 60 families a year if we achieve £1,000 - we obviously want to do a lot more than that and it would be AMAZING!
Anyone who knows us will know this is a huge challenge for us for many reasons but being teachers and working with children everyday, we feel extremely passionate to do something and help out where we can.
