Jurassic Coast Challenge 2019 · 8 June 2019 to 9 June 2019 ·

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

As many of you will know, this year will mark 20 years since our dad, Marek died suddenly from an undiagnosed heart condition on his way to work at the age of 37. While the years have ticked on by, he still very much lives on in photographs and in our memories. The British Heart Foundation has always been a charity which is close to our hearts (pun intended), so we thought that there was no better time to dust off our walking boots and challenge ourselves in memory of him.

On 8th June, we will be trekking a 34 km (21 mile) hilly stretch of the Jurassic Coast, passing through Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. We've never done a challenge like this before, so we would be really appreciative of any support (even if its just motivational memes). We'll need it on our (almost) marathon hike. Of course, any support to this worthy cause in memory of our dad will be hugely appreciated.

Although, our dad couldn't be helped, The BHF does amazing research which has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help us hit our target. Thanks!
