Hello, thanks for visiting our page...

Well I've finally got the running bug and decided to join Andrew and run a marathon...just want to see what all the fuss is about really!

We're doing the Lisbon marathon on the 5th December for Clatterbridge centre for Oncology over on the Wirral.  Some of you will know that my Aunty Andrea has been battling cancer for a while now - she's on her 3rd lot of chemo and is an inspiration to all of us with her fighting spirit and at times plain stubbornness! 

She gets her treatment at the centre and its also BBC Radio Merseyside's charity partner for this year. Having been there I've seen what a fantastic place it is for people who go there week in week out from Ted who greets them with a smile on the door to the doctors and nurses who save their lives.

So far the Radio Merseyside campaign's raised enough for two chemo cars to transport drugs to other hospitals letting patients get treated closer to home and has just raised another 16 thousand pounds for pager systems for radiotherapy patients so they don't have to sit in the waiting rooms all day. We're now raising money for a stereotactic headframe that will stop patients who need it travelling to Sheffield for treatment.

We just want to do our bit for this fantastic place and have some fun (hopefully!) at the same time!
