4 years ago, a very dear and old friend, who bravely battled breast cancer herself, threw a ball to raise money for BUST - to support the purchase of a new MRI machine at Southmead. We as Bateman’s, contributed to this and 3 years later, one of these machines helped to identify the cancerous lumps in my breast. 

After 2 years of treatment and a second chance at life, it’s my turn to pay it forward and do something to say thank you for the incredible care that I have received at Southmead - and in turn, raise money for another machine, that I hope will give many other women in Bristol and beyond, a second chance. 

As a runner, and at a point in my recovery where I feel fit and strong again, I thought what better way to celebrate and raise money for this amazing cause, than to run the Bristol 10k. I’ve to date managed to successfully bully many of my friends and family into running alongside me! 

Please please, donate to this incredible cause - No matter how small the donation. As an incentive, Lee has agreed to match some of the donations, which will be given to Cancer Research UK.
