Yes that’s right, it’s me, the most inconsistent runner (if I can even call myself that) attempting to run a half marathon in March 2023 . And yes to those who know me, it is another one of my impulsive decisions but it’s one that is not only going push me massively physically and mentally but will also raise money for an amazing charity at the same time. What better way to motivate myself than to think of all of the animals my fundraising will go towards helping. 

The RSPCA Mid Norfolk and North Suffolk Branch undertake vital work through rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming or releasing thousands of animals every year and rely on public donations to fund their work. In my opinion, animal charities can often be overlooked by people who are looking to donate to charity. Not only did the pandemic create many challenges for the RSPCA, they now have to deal with another crisis. There are fears that more animals will be victim to abuse and abandonment as the cost of living crisis takes hold adding financial pressures on pet owners. Animals should not have to pay the price of the crisis and therefore I am hoping to raise as much as possible in support of this cause. 

I know it’s a very financially difficult time but I would really appreciate any donations. No matter how big or small, they all add up and will motivate me during the next 3 months of very cold, wet and dark training runs.
