Jessica's Cutting 10 inches off her Hair

Cutting 10 inches of my Hair · 11 July 2019
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young people up to the age of 24 that have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses. The Trust relies solely on the efforts of enthusiastic community fundraisers. We receive no formal funding. Please help to raise money for us so that we can help more families.
Ok, this maybe one of the hardest things I have had to do,
and I apologise for those that this comes as a shock, but this past week has
been spent trying to put a plan together for me and my boys (this includes the
hubby, as we all know he is a big kid at heart)
Now, we know I don’t publicly put anything on Social Media
(Sorry, small Joke there!), But on a very serious note, this I feel needs this
(this time!)
I turned 40 in January 2019, I didn’t want to be 40, I felt
old, soo old.. but on the 17th June 2019, I finally realised I am not old, I am
still so young…….and why I hear you asking or saying, Jess what the bloody hell
are you going on about, well my lovely pink and blue friends, I found a Lump at
the end of May and although the GP and even Breast surgeon who took some biopsies
wasn’t concerned, which put my mind at rest, I received my results, unfortunately
I have Breast Cancer, Grade 2 Triple Negative.. BUT, There is a plan in place
with my treatment, so ALL IS GOOD.
I will start Chemo within the next 4-6 weeks and then
surgery – what type depends on some further tests I’ve had, I will cross that
bridge when it comes.. however, my focus over the next few months is my boys
and keeping them happy (Along with still building our new Family business, Our Café/
Wine Bar). They know about my poorly
boob, but what scares them the most is Mummy losing her hair.. so, and here is
the reason for my rant.
My hair is quite long, I don’t want to waste it so I am
going to have my hair cut by the lovely Tory at CJL hair studio on July 11th
and my hair will then be donated to the Little Princesses Trust so a wig can be
made for some very special little people – This is my First Fundraiser! Tory will then send me back to my Thirties
and giving me a beautiful blonde Bob, this way the boys will get used to Mummy
with short hair before Chemo starts.
Then comes my 2nd fundraiser, The Osborne Trust support
Children during their parents cancer – this Charity has been such a big part of
our very dear Friend, Sarah’s 2 ½ year journey and both Iain and I are still so
amazed at what they do, I also want to continue fundraising for them as well.
I will be doing another fundraiser for Breast Cancer Care by
arranging an Afternoon Tea Party at the Cafe, Date to be confirmed, so watch
this space.
Again im sorry for those that this is a shock for, it’s not
deliberate not to have told you personally I promise xx
Love you all, and thank you in advance for your kind wishes,
thoughts and donations.
