My gorgeous, happy, confident little Ilana was born with an extremely rare genetic condition called 'Marcus Gunn Phenomenon' which affects her eyes. Ilana will undergo surgery throughout her lifetime to ensure that her eye sight doesnt deteriorate. 'Marcus Gunn' is so rare that statistics tell us that there're only 300 people in the US that suffer with this condition and we as parents are struggling to locate a family in the UK that we can share experiences with. There is so little support for children and parents who are going through this journey therefore I decided to try and help change this. I will test my strength and endurance by competing in Tough Mudder at the end of April to raise money for the National Eye Research Centre.
