Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year I have set myself a challenge of attempting to complete a Half Marathon every month... raising money for the Scotts Project Trust who are based in my home town and provide residential support and day services to people in our community with Learning Difficulties.
They rely on donations to increase the opportunity for further development / improvement of their facilities and services available.
Jan: completed half marathon in Farnborough- freezing but the first one is done!! :)
Feb: thought I’d do something a bit different and booked to go to Malta with the plan of doing a half marathon out there.... was hoping for nice weather and interesting views! Ended up with an almighty storm which meant flooding, gale force winds, fallen trees and a cancelled run!!!
Ended up doing it on a treadmill- but still done!
March was Hampton Court Palace where I met King Henry VIII after a very long and difficult run (not sure why... just wasn’t my day!)
April came round quick and this month I’m in Stratford-upon-Avon doing the Shakespeare Half, I was dreading this one as I’d had a cold and had missed a few runs in the lead up, particularly after how difficult March’s was... however... I did my fastest time this year so very chuffed :)
May, June and July are all done! Edinburgh... loved the city and the run, Jersey... the quickest so far, amazing views and met some jersey cows on the way! Then Hever Castle, more challenging but managed to make it round, I’m now over half way...
August done on 4/8... Wimbledon common, lovely place but I did have a little mishap, tripped over about halfway through so I came away a bit battered and bruised, anyway... I completed it! so that’s now 8 done!
4 to go!
