Our Dad was diagnosed with secondary brain cancer in March last year. After having a massive seizure only a few weeks later he was given 24 hours to live. He was moved to Princess Alice Hospice in April and they took great care of him for just under 2 weeks. We then decided to take him home and care for him there, where PAH provided us with all the equipment to do so, as well as giving us carers 4 times a day. PAH held our hand and guided us through the toughest times of our lives. Then back in June my dad went back for a week to manage some of his symptoms. Then his final stay started on 22nd December and he passed away on the 22nd January 2018. My dad truly loved it there and adored the staff. Everyone from the nurses, healthcare assistants, doctors, chefs, volunteers etc are amazing individuals. We would love to pay them back in some way. Please dig deep as you never know when you or your loved one will need them.
