The pandemic has been a crazy learning experience for everyone. We globally did not think that this would ever happen in our lifetime. Being locked up inside your own mental prism in your home has been an incredible challenge for everyone. As for myself, I have learned a lot more about how to deal with my own inner voices, self-doubts and feeling alone. Everyone has a story during this surreal period. Either they have lost someone, lost their job, or cannot see their loved ones for months. Everyone has experienced their own mental battles. 

I am running on behalf of the late Andra Hummel and for her family. An amazing woman, a mother, sister and daughter who I grew up with, who lost herself in her own mental illness during the pandemic. I would love to raise money for this amazing organization and help other families and people that are going through similar situations. 

Mind BLMK works across our communities to support positive mental health and wellbeing. Working closely with a range of partners, we offer a number of activities from our wellbeing centres and local venues to make a difference to the mental health and well-being of people in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes, and our aim is to make sure that no-one has to face a mental health problem alone.
