Cricket Without Boundaries is dedicated to helping, educating and developing local communities around the world through the spread and growth of cricket. Crucially, CWB also uses cricket as a tool in the fight against AIDS. CWB’s training sessions have at their heart discussion about the disease in terms of prevention, treatment and equality of treatment for those with and without the disease.

Story

Hello!

In October I am travelling to Botswana to volunteer with British Charity 'Cricket Without Boundaries' to raise awareness for and ultimately eliminate HIV/AIDS in Africa. The Charity uses cricket matches and training as an opportunity to attract hundreds of children who can then be properly informed about the disease.

The CWB approach also encourages an equality of treatment for all regardless of age, gender or HIV status.
Each volunteer on the trip has been asked to raise some money for the charity to make sure the charity leaves a lasting legacy in the areas they visit. Importantly, therefore the money raised does not fund my trip!

Thank you, all!
