Isabel Hospice is a registered charity which provides free palliative care and support for patients and their families living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses such as MND, end stage renal conditions, end stage heart conditions, respiratory conditions or other neurological conditions throughout East Herts.  

Founded in 1982 the Hospice provides a wide range of services including an In-Patient Hospice in Welwyn Garden City which can accommodate up to 15 patients, along with Day Services in Bishop's Stortford, Stanstead Abbotts and Welwyn along with a Home Care Team providing support and nursing care in patients' homes and a Family Support and Bereavement Service.

This trek is a great opportunity to raise much needed funds for the hospice which needs to raise £3m a year from charitable sources and will be a great challenge for me personally.
