Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Well I've signed up to swim 2.5km (which I am led to believe is just over 100 lengths of a 25m pool)....apparently I've got 3 hours to do it in! I know for all you fitties out there you probably think this is not difficult.  Well throw in the fact I've not been swimming since I broke my arm a year ago then you will see this will be tough. Also, not being able to talk for 3 hours is another challenge.  Therefore I am upgrading this to a sponsored silence swim. Surely a double whammy means I deserve your support? 

Anyway a few hours of pain and not being able to talk bears nothing to the strength and determination of so many Cancer sufferers, including my Grandad. It was Marie Curie that enabled him to spend his last days at home. This meant so much to my Grandad knowing he was in the comfort of his own home with his family near him.  The Marie Curie nurses also proved a huge support for my Granny who was his main carer. 

Thanks for any support you can give me. This is a worthy charity. You'll be pleased to know that there was also a 5km swim but as there is a credit crunch, I went for the cheaper option so if you sponsor by lengths it won't get too expensive :-)
