The Eve Appeal is a charity which raises money to help fight women's cancers. I first heard about it in 2005 when my Mum was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. 2005 was a difficult year as I was also being treated for breast cancer.
Mum did her best to raise funds for the Eve Appeal and she involved all her family and friends in 'Make time for tea' events. She believed strongly in the need for further research, especially for the more silent cancers. Despite being very ill she continued to be an inspiration to many. Ten years on I want to celebrate being alive as a result of all the research that has been done for breast cancer and I want to raise money for Eve Appeal in memory of Mum. I think of her every day and am thankful for her determination and courage and for all the little gems of inspiration with which she filled our lives.
Please help me to raise much needed funding for the Eve Appeal so that other women may benefit from breakthroughs in treatment that Mum always hoped to see. Thanks for your support!
