Animal SOS is based is Southern Sri Lanka and helps to rescue, rehabilitate and where possible, re-home street dogs and cats. They also help to educate local people on the importance of caring for these animals and also operate outreach clinics to vaccinate and neuter as many animals as possible. In February this year, I volunteered with the sanctuary and was overwhelmed by the amazing work that they do each day for the 1000+ dogs and 200 cats within their care, many of which are disabled.
