Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My nephew Ollie, who is now 7 and a twin was diagnosed with Leukaemia in April 2012. The journey so far has been a long and difficult one, but he has reached a third of a way through a 3 yr programme of treatment, where the prognosis is very hopeful. During this time my sister Bex(a widow) and her other 2 sons have been supported in many ways from children's cancer charities and we felt that we as a family would really like to raise some funds, so that the good work continues for other families who have children with cancer. Bex has opted for a sky dive which was completely out of the question for me! I decided I would prefer a tougher challenge on the ground, so 82k of high altitude climbing it is!
I have also persuaded my good friend Tricia, to come along too (mainly so I would have someone to talk to!). I do however, feel slightly bad that I told her it was about 26 miles! I am hoping she forgives me soon! It is after all in a good cause! But that means it is all more important for us to complete the challenge and raise as much money as we can.
