Jo and Greg's Page

In recent months Jo has lost an Uncle and a work colleague to cancer and we both have a friend who is currently receiving treatment. Many of us are effected directly or indirectly by cancer and we believe the work Cancer Reserach do is invaluable in helping to deal with this disease.

So, this year we've entered various events to raise as much as we can for this great charity.

In the last few weeks....

Greg and Jo completed the Run to the Beat 1/2 marathon - Jo's first - on October 28th.  It was a pretty tough race, Greg missed his PB by a few seconds coming in at 1.30.56.  Jo had a great first 10 miles or so and was on target to go sub 2hrs but foot cramp and a throat infection slowed her down a bit, coming in with a PB time of 2.10.

Earlier this year....

Jo kicked off with the Run Richmond 10k on Feb 4th.  On a chilly morning she smashed her target time of 60 mins by coming in at 55.06 running with Sue B www.runnyhoneys.com

Greg ran the Bath Half Marathon on March 11th in a PB of 90.52 and the Boxmoor 20 miler in another PB of 2.32.35.  However the Brighton Marathon on April 15th didn't quite go to plan.  A really good first half was followed by nasty hamstring cramps from about mile 16 so the pace dropped off.  So a dissapointing time of 3.32.14, but at least it was another finisher's medal and was quicker than London 2010.

Greg finished the Windsor Duathlon on June 17th in top 10% in 1.59.44 and the L'Ètape du Tour on July 8th in top 25% in 9.23 - www.letapedutour.com - bit scary that one!  Greg and Jo ran the Clarendon Relay Marathon with Ed and Lotty Keen on October 7th in a PB of 3.41.

Whatever you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.  Jo and Greg (Ratty)
