Swim a Memory Marathon · 30 April 2016

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

SWIM A MEMORY MARATHON is on 30th April 2015

I decided to organise a swim a memory mile and didn't want to do it on own so started to ask friends to join me.

I have such amazing friends, 29 of them, who offered to join me whether for a personal reason, to get fit or that they supported their mad friend but we have got enough people to SWIM A MEMORY MARATHON, 26 miles relay (1664 lengths in a 25m pool).

Mine is for my truly amazing Godmother, Beryl Whitworth who had this awful disease and passed away 19th November 2015 (also in memory of Vera Smith, my Auntie)

Claire is doing it in memory of her mom, Stella Dipple, was 48 when she was diagnosed and passed away when she was 60

In Memory of:

Beryl Whitworth, Vera Smith, Beatrice Richards,  Stella Dipple

If anyone donating wish us to swim in memory of their loved one then please add 'In memory of.....' and we will ready off their names before swimming.
