Story
I have been looking for a new challenge for a while and wanted to do something totally outside my comfort zone and raise money for a Cancer charity that's close to my family's heart. In 2006 my Mum got diagnosed with Bladder cancer aged only 53, which, as she had never smoked or worked with chemicals of any kind, was rare to say the least. At first it was thought the tumours could be removed but after an initial operation she decided to have her bladder removed and a course of chemotherapy. This was the same week I gave birth to my second son and we are so lucky that due to research from charities like Ucare, that specialise in Urology Cancers, treatments were available. Mum has been around to see two further Grandaughter's born and as is now in full remission. I hate running but with the support of family and friends I know I can do this and make everyone proud and raise lots of money to help others in my Mum's position. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am so grateful to all that have sponsored me so far and am humbled that you have all got me to my £1000 target three months before the race. So I have increased my target as 26 miles is not easy ;) xx
