In 2017 I'm giving my itchy feet a scratch and myself a much-needed challenge by trekking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu to raise money for the Stars Appeal.

It's somewhere I've wanted to go for years, and this way I have to get really fit, and cope with nights under canvas with no proper loos or showers! 

I'm funding the trip myself, so every donation I get will go straight to the Stars Appeal. The extra equipment and facilities they fund has helped so many people I care about - right from Jacob when he was born 6 weeks early, to friends who've been able to sleep in comfy beds beside their children and friends with breast cancer who will benefit from the new Breast Care Unit. And volunteering for the Stars Appeal, I've met some amazing people whose work, funded by the Stars Appeal, helps so many patients in our fab local hospital.
