The Great British Dog Walk · 24 October 2020

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People trains dogs to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds such as the smoke alarm, alarm clock, intruder alarms and baby monitors. These amazing dogs also help deaf people to leave loneliness behind by providing love, companionship and emotional support.

Story

As a group, we were wondering what our next challenge should be and this 'event' came up on Facebook. Decision made!! Especially as one of our team is closely involved in working with Deaf and hearing impaired children and adults.

Since lockdown began, a record number of applications have been received by Hearing Dogs for Deaf People for a hearing dog. Sadly, the charity have had to 'paws' (geddit!) their popular series of Great British Dog Walks due to the Coronovirus pandemic. However, the Great British Dog Walk continues ..... virtually! So, on Saturday 31st October, the Choir Girls will be walking 10km to raise funds for this incredibly worthwhile cause.

Whatever you can spare to help us reach our target will be very much appreciated!!
