Story
Geoff Holt, the founder of Wetwheels, is a dear friend and after some public peer pressure on Facebook us Dixie-Goodwin's and senior Dixie have conceded and we will clamber our way down the 170 metre Spinnaker tower on Sunday 9th June 2019.
Although this obviously terrifies us, in fact it gives me the heebie-jeebies just looking at the pictures, we know that this is challenge well worth doing because we will raise some well needed funds and awareness for this incredible charity. Geoff, himself paralysed from the chest down, set up Wetwheels to give wheel chair users a freedom that he knows only the sea can give. They now have a fleet of boats that are adapted for wheelchairs and Wetwheels takes out disabled passengers for the ride of their lives! There are some incredibly humbling stories that Geoff has shared with me over the years that would make you blub. He works with many local charities and children's hospices so makes a huge difference to many lives.
So please help us raise our target of £750, which all goes to Wetwheels and no donation is too small. By all means come and cheer us on, we would relish your support. Thank you so much.
