Story
In Oct 1999 we lost our dad to an aggressive brain tumour. I was 27, my brother 25 and my sister just 16.
My dad spent his last few weeks in St Rocco's. To be honest the whole time is a blur but I cannot imagine how he would have managed if not for St Rocco's Hospice. The care my dad received was unbelievable but what we did not expect was the support they gave us too.
Roll on 20 yrs to 2019 and I am commemorating my dads life by volunteering as a contestant in Strictly St Rocco's.
This glamorous black tie fundraising event will take place on the 8th of December at Mere Golf Resort to a 400 strong sell out crowd.
My aim is to raise 10K. This is how much it costs to run St Roccos Hospice for just one day.
If you live in Warrington or the surrounding area at some point in your life you will probably know somebody that needs the support of St Rocco's Hospice.
So.... this 47 year old chunky yet sassy mum of three is going to give to give you all a laugh at my expense by dancing the Cha Cha Cha in return for a donation from you.
My pledge is that my actual performance will be LIVE streamed to my personal and business Facebook pages to ensure maximum humiliation.
So can you did deep for me and get donating ....I promise the belly laughs will be worth every penny.
