Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am fundraising for Ronald MacDonald House because it is a charity that is very close to my heart.
My son Riley was born with a rare condition called Craniosynostosis which is the premature fusion of one or more sutures of the skull. This can cause many complications including pressure on the brain and the only way to treat it is a major operation.
Riley had to go to Birmingham Children's Hospital when he was around a year old to have the operation and as we also had a young daughter we needed somewhere to stay while he was in hospital.
Luckily, we were given a room at Ronald MacDonald house which enabled us to stay together as a family during his hospital stay. Without their help there is no way this could have been possible.
I am also aiming to raise awareness to this often misdiagnosed condition and make sure that parents know that an abnormal shaped skull is not always nothing serious so to always push and push if you have any concerns.
