We adopted Millie from a rescue when she was around 6 months old.  She was skinny, suffering from mange and hair loss and was in bad shape.  

From those sad beginnings, we enjoyed almost 16 years with the most wonderful little dog who gave us her heart and soul, making every day a joy to share with her.  She was playful and fun, loving and gentle and was a huge presence in a little body.  She left a lasting impression on everyone who met her and we loved her immensely. We would have done anything we could to give her the life she deserved. 

Sadly, we lost Millie on the 8th March 2019 following a few short weeks of neurological problems and a rapid decline over a few days. We are left bereft and heartbroken.  At almost 17 years of age, there was little that could be done to give her more time but this made us think of those who are not as lucky as we were and who don't get as much time with their beloved companion animals.

After speaking to our wonderful vet about a way we could honour Millies memory, we found out about Petsavers - a veterinary charity that is dedicated to improving the health of our pets by relieving the  distress & pain caused by diseases so our pets can enjoy longer, fuller, and healthier lives by funding clinical research (not testing on animals).

We can't think of a better way to pay tribute to our beautiful girl.
