Joanne's Climibing Kilimanjaro

Hello
This really is a personal challenge for fitness and rehab following major surgery on my spine 2 years ago, however i thought i would set up this page and take the opportunity to raise some awareness and funds for the Liseux Trust.
My brother Tom has lived with the trust for 5 years now, they have around 20 houses in the Sutton Coldfield area that house adults with learning difficulties. This enables Tom to live a life that is as independent as possible, he is still learning, and continues to want more independence, with his latest venture is being travel trained, enabling him to go to and from work on his own, a massive step forward and one that he absolutley is desperate for - although i am convinced it is so he can go to the pub on his own!!
Having this charity in Sutton Coldfield has made is possible for Tom to stay near his immediate family, and continue his life in a community where he is a familiar face and the people and the town is familiar to him. His family want to ensure that this his home in Jockey Road is a home for life for Tom and by donating you can ensure that Toms future is secured but also others benefit from living in a secure and safe environment, something that we all take for granted.
About me and Kili......those that know me know that i like a challenge!! Showing people the art of what is possible if you put your mind to it, hopefully i can inspire others to either get fit or if you are post operation to get back on your feet and get strong again.
I am aware that i am absolutley pushing at the boundries when it comes to my rehab, ( ihad a two stage fusion of my spine in Feb 2012) but now i am fitter and stronger than ever with the added bonus of being pain free so there is no reason medically why i cant do this.
Standing at 5895m Mt Kilimanjaro is one of the world's famous 7 Summits - the highest peak on the African continent. Over 7 days i will walk/trek/climb/stagger/crawl 85km taking 5 days to go up and 2 days to come down.
So, thank you for taking the time to read this and if you decide to donate/ sponsor you can help me make a difference to those here in your community in Sutton and to help others like Tom live their lives to the most.
Thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart ( and hopefully the top of Kili) xxxx
