I am taking part in the Great North Swim (1 mile in Lake Windermere) to raise money for Derian House.

Derian House is a charity which has helped a very special member of our family, our little nephew Frankie Forgione who has been diagnosed with the rare brain disease, Krabbe Leukodystrophy.  Krabbe disease has already made Frankie extremely irritable, hes lost most of his eyesight, he cant move or swallow properly, vomits often and he has to be fed via a tube now. Most children with Krabbe do not see their 2nd birthday with the average age being 13 months.

Please visit http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/frankieforgione/mystory to find out more about Frankie.

Derian House has provided a lot of support for Frankie and his Mum and Dad, as well as to many other families with children with terminal illnesses.

This is a charity close to our hearts.  Please give generously.

Thank you! xx
