Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my just giving page.
My gorgeous husband, Paul, passed away on Thursday 22nd December 2016 after being diagnosed with stage 4 Lung Cancer in April of 2016. He was the most laid back, happy and optimistic person I knew and tried to be positive in the face of a devastating diagnosis. He never smoked and very rarely let a day go by without taking part in some kind of exercise. We learnt the hard way that cancer is indiscriminate as to who it effects.
I have started this fundraising page in case anyone would like to donate some money - but please do not feel that you have to. However, if you do, then I hope you will find this a worthy cause. Southampton University are trying to raise £25 million pounds towards a state-of-the-art Centre for Cancer Immunology, where they will be at the forefront of finding new and hopefully effective treatments for cancer. You will be helping the first dedicated cancer immunology centre in the UK. The research centre will enable interdisciplinary teams to expand clinical trials, explore new areas and develop lifesaving medicine.
