Going Pink for Baby Loss · 25 March 2019

Forever Stars provides and maintains two bereavement suites in Nottingham, a baby loss remembrance garden in Highfields Park and a support centre. The charity supports families throughout their baby loss journey supporting their mental health and well-being.

Story

Forever Stars was setup following the stillbirth of Emily Daniels on December 19th 2013. Although Emily was stillborn, Michelle and Richard had to go back on to the labour ward where the surrounded by the sounds of child birth, families celebrating and of course the sound of healthy babies.Michelle and Richard decided that they would fundraise in the name of their daughter to facilitate the building and equipping of bereavement suites and other support material and facilities of future bereaved parents in and around the East Midlands.

Although I have never experienced such a devasting loss I battled for 12 long years to finally become a mum at the age of 45 and lost Madeline's twin along the way.

Madeline will never know either her twin nor Emily but will always be aware of them both.

Baby loss is devastating and it's imperative we talk about it. By doing this I hope I can prompt just one person to do so
