The Foundation aims to promote boating attainable for all. People disadvantaged by youth age disability financial hardship or social circumstances are under-represented in the boating world. We give grants to fund the facilities needed to open doors to new participants and develop social capital

Story

Hi guys,

Thanks for visiting my fundraisng page.  Just in case I haven't already told you, I am attempting to climb Kilimanjaro on the 13th September 2006.  The reason for the challenge and the charity? Well, a couple of years ago I broke my leg and had pins put in to help it mend, for those of you who have had broken bones it can get very depressing when your usually an energetic person and then all of a sudden there is very little you can do whilst your mending.  I was given the opportunity to sail a boat specifically designed for people with movement restrictions, for the first time since I broke my leg I felt a real sense of freedom.  Well I'm all fixed now, hence this challenge, but I would just like to raise as much money as I can so more people can experience the sense of freedom I did.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RYA Sailability will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
