4Eco Directors Challenge in support of NET Awareness · 6 September 2014

Neuroendocrine Cancer UK exists to support and inform patients and families from diagnosis, enabling access to the best care and treatment, whilst stimulating Neuroendocrine Cancer research, increasing national awareness, and influencing improvements in outcomes.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page.

We are undertaking a tandem skydive to raise awareness of neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) a rare form of cancer. Director, Jodi, was treated for this cancer last year and after making a full recovery is planning this skydive with her fellow directors, Robin Barrett and Lee Sutton.

The jump is part of Jodi’s ongoing mission to raise awareness of the illness, so that it can be diagnosed early and to encourage further research into this complex form of cancer. Going forwards, Jodi and her team at 4eco, the UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of microgen diverting technology, aim to raise further awareness of NETs, with an ongoing programme of fundraising events.

NETs are tumours of the neuroendocrine system; a collection of cells spread throughout the body which make hormones to regulate the workings of different organs. NETs are sometimes referred to as carcinoid tumours.

Thank you for your support.
