I've decided to take on the monumental challenge of climbing Gran Paradiso, the highest mountain (entirely) in Italy, standing at 4061m! Those that know me will already be aware that I'm a keen hiker, climber and general adventurer... but this challenge will be my first introduction to alpanism and mountaineering...

In doing so, I'm hoping to raise as much as possible for an amazing charity doing some incredible work with disadvantaged young people. Jamie's Farm believes in the process of 'farming, family & therapy' to help those who are at risk of exclusion from school, allowing them to take on new responsibility and grow in confidence, ultimately helping them to see their futures differently.

Each day 35 children are excluded from school, a statistic which will go on to make up the majority of the prison population. Of 11-16 year olds, 1 in 7 have a mental health disorder which is a growing problem with growing awareness. A working farm poses the perfect environment to cultivate the tools for these young people to thrive, helping them to connect to nature, nurture animals and see how much of a difference they can make.
