Joe's UK End to End Bike ride

LEJOG bike ride · 1 September 2021
When I started Uni in Liverpool it upset me to see so many people sleeping on the streets. Coming from a little village in Shropshire I hadn't really witnessed this on such a large scale before. Over 2000 people are regarded as homeless in Liverpool, this is why it is so important to have charities like the Paper Cup Project striving to make a change.
Their work, in short, consists of supplying clothes/ food & campaigning for people experiencing homelessness. This year the charity helped in prioritising COVID vaccines to be delivered to homeless people that wished to have it and weren't able to isolate safely.
In the future they will also be opening Paper Cup Coffee, a Liverpool based coffee shop, to help people who have been homeless build their confidence/ skills and assist them back into work.
I would be extremely grateful for your donations to sponsor me on my bike ride from Land's End to John O'Groats (the length of the U.K!) to raise money for the Paper Cup Project helping the homeless.
