Rowing the Lakes · 10 August 2019

At Bendrigg Trust we aim to put an end to disabled people sitting on the side-lines during physical activities. We provide opportunities for people of all abilities to take part in adapted activities such as climbing, caving, canoeing and cycling whilst staying in our fully accessible accommodation.

Story

My self (Joe) and Callan and the team at CoreWorx are wanting to raise awareness and money for Bendrigg's amazing cause. Bendrigg Trust challenges perceptions of disabled and disadvantaged people through adventurous activities and the outdoors

This is why on the 10th August Callan and I are taking on the challenge of Rowing the accumulative length of all the bodies of water in the Lake District... totalling 118.98 km.

So... whats the charity all about?

At Bendrigg Just £40 can support a person with a disability to try climbing for the first time and start to believe in what they can do, rather than what they think they can't. At Bendrigg they help people take part in activities they never dreamt possible due to their disability or social disadvantage. Thank you for helping to make dreams a reality and to allow everyone to achieve through adventure.

If you want to find out more about what they do, then head over to their website: https://www.bendrigg.org.uk

And a big thank you for helping to make dreams a reality and allowing everyone to achieve through adventure, and experience the outdoors.
