Story
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page...
Over the last few years I have had the chance to work with some very special children, and do what I can to improve their quality of life with the support of the Danny Green Fund.
The Danny Green Fund is a non profit charity that raises money and awareness to help, support and fund children that suffer from Posterior Fossa Syndrome (pfs). Therapies include physio, hydrotherapy, horse riding and other activities that will improve the children's quality of life.
PFS is a condition following surgery to remove a brain tumor(s) which can leave, usually children, with symptoms such as mutism, poor coordination, poor muscle tone, facial paralysis, inability to eat, drink and in some cases unable to even swallow their own saliva. These symptoms can be overcome with ongoing therapy, but can take months or years!
Being a part of something that will improve these kids life is truly rewarding and really puts things into perspective on how lucky most of us are to have had some sort of childhood. These children have spent months or even years in hospital, when they should be out playing and living their lives.
The event I'm taking part in is to help raise money for this childrens charity, and promote awareness for this crippling condition, it's the very least I can do.
Please donate, it really goes a long way!!
