Rak's Trust was setup on behalf and in memory of Flight Lieutenant Rakesh Chauhan who was onboard the Lynx helicopter that crashed in April 2014 in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan. The Air Ambulance Service is an organisation that was close to his heart and subsequently we support it fully.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Rak Chauhan died on 26 April 2014 in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan while serving with the RAF. Rak was one of my closest friends, and I miss him terribly all the time.

Normally his family and friends get together to do a big fundraiser trek for Rak’s Trust (which supports the air ambulance), but the Covid-19 lockdown has stopped this year’s event. So instead we’re collectively running a marathon (where we each run whatever portion we can for our various lockdown restrictions). All funds raised go to Rak’s Trust and we hope to be able to make a big change to the air ambulance through the trust in a difficult year for charities across the UK.
