Joelle & Sophie are running the London Marathon 2023

· 11 December 2022
Sophie & Joelle have decided to run the London Marathon 2023 for The Leonard Cheshire charity.
Leonard Cheshire is a charity that aims to support disabled people to live, learn and work as independently as they choose - whatever their ability.
There are 14.1 million disabled people in the UK, and still in 2022 disabled people are not treated equally.
There are several reasons we have chosen this charity -
- Over 40% of railways stations in Great Britain do not have step-free access.
- Nearly half (49%) of 25 - 64 year olds with a learning disability or difficulty in Great Britain have no qualifications.
- 1 in 5 employers say they would be less likely to hire someone with a disability.
& lastly, we decided to take on this challenge in memory of two very special people Paul Grant (Sophie’s Dad) & Mike Ewen (Joelle’s brother) who passed away recently🫶🏼🕊️❤️ Being able to raise money for a charity and make a difference to people’s lives is one thing, but being able to run in memory of someone who was such a big part of your life makes it even more special ❤️
We would like to thank in advance for all the donations & in the meantime we’ll be training 🤣❤️
