Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. For my big 40th this year, I’m raising money for ASN Team UK. 2 weeks in Greece 4 years ago changed my life. The reality of the refugee crisis I witnessed led to me dedicating the last 4 years to building and growing my charity to make a difference to as many people as possible.

Right now as you read this- there are over 70,000 refugees and asylum seekers in Greece. Many of these people are living in squalor in camps, squats or on the street. The lucky few are in sheltered accommodation.

Right now as you read these, some 2000 unaccompanied minors are waiting for accommodation, and people continue to risk their and their families lives, crossing the sea in flimsy rubber boats daily.

It’s the smaller grassroots organisations that are making a massive difference, plugging the many gaps in care, and your birthday gift will help fund things such as food, shelter, education, hygiene items, emergency items, baby items amongst other things. The charity is run on a shoestring and this means that your gift has absolute maximum positive impact.

So, you’re not just giving a gift, you are helping to change lives, and I’ve been privileged to have been able to visit the projects and people we work with to see the difference we’ve been able to make. To be able to raise some money for my birthday would be the best present. Thank you.
