Traditionell findet nunmehr schon seit einigen Jahren eine organisierte Wanderung "Walk the Wight", eben auf der besagten Isle of Wight an der Südküste England's statt. Ihr kennt mich und wisst, daß dies eigentlich meine zweite Heimat ist. Einige Menschen mit ihren Familien sind mir zu besten Freunden geworden und haben mir durch ihre Offenheit, Gastfreundschaft und Herzlichkeit immer wieder geholfen. Diese Freundschaft währt nun schon seit 30 Jahren und nun möchte ich endlich einmal die Gelegenheit nutzen etwas zurückzugeben. Bitte helft mir mit einer kleinen Spende das "Earl Mountbatten Hospiz" auf der Isle of Wight zu unterstützen. Am 15. Mai 2011 werde ich an "Walk the Wight" teilnehmen und die 42 km lange Strecke hoffentlich gut überstehen.

Now it is deceided and with Steven and Tony Lake I am going to "Walk the Wight". Over the last 30 years I visited the Island and made many very close friends. These friends gave a lot of support, love and hospitality to me and now I believe it is the time to give some of what I have received back. On May 15th I am going to walk the whole distance of approx. 26 Mile and I would appreciate if you could support this chalenge with a little donation for the "Earl Mountbatten Hospice".
