Bupa Great Manchester Run 2014 · 18 May 2014 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm running the great manchester run mainly for the new challenge, but also for my great uncle who has recently suffered a stroke just a few months before his son's wedding. At the time of writing this I hear that he's on the up and already dishing out some stick from his hospital bed, but he will need specialist treatment and he's just on the start of a hard road to recovery. Many people in his shoes can't afford the specialist care required to cope with stroke, so chuck in a few bob and support the good work of the Stroke Association. Any donation is welcome (any briefcases full of money can be sent to my Todmorden address).

Thanks
