Nightrider 2013 · 8 June 2013 ·

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

As 2013 is a big year for me (40 !)  I thought I would challenge myself again to complete a different sporting event.

For my 30 I completed the London Marathon and as my mind still believes I am 30 and my legs are heading for 50 I thought the Night Rider 2013 Challenge would be perfect, which is just 2 & a half marathons in total but on a bike.

It’s a unique 100km (62 Mile) moonlit ride past London’s iconic landmarks, starting at 11.30pm and riding through the night on Saturday 8 June 2013.

Many people have lost love ones to cancer and for me it was my father in law Skip who meant a lot to me.  I am riding for Cancer Research Charity and with your help hope to raise as much as possible to help others who have this disease.

2 of my close friends Tony & Chris have been roped into keeping me company on this challenge and we have formed a team called BMW Bikers and hope to add to the donations raised by all.

With your help I am looking to raise £1500 to help change the life of affected people with cancer , and I hope that you can dig deep and sponsor me for what will be an enormous and difficult journey

Thanks for your support
