Action4Diabetes (A4D) is a UK-registered charity providing health and hope to disadvantaged young people living with Type 1 Diabetes in South-East Asia by ensuring free access to ongoing medical supplies, healthcare services and continual education.

Story

I have supported A4D since its beginning.  It is run by truly passionate and dedicated people, living their mission.

Type 1 diabetes can be managed, but many young people with this disease still die every year in South East Asia. This region of the world gave myself and my family rich life experiences for 10 years living across the various countries. I am forever grateful for the welcoming nature of the people I met and the cultures that endure.

Helping support the most needy patients from this region is my way to give back, particularly since A4D sponsor young Type 1 Diabetes sufferers which cannot afford their treatment, which left unchecked has devastating effects to the patient's health and their total families ability to live.

So to raise money I am aiming to bicycle ride 650km to 700km this week and climb thousands of meters everyday up mountains in Italy.

I will be doing this for 7 days.

One week of aches, pain, sweat, sunburn and more pain to push myself to help others.

Please support A4D and thank you for your donation.
