We support people living with disadvantages to live the best life possible.

Story

What would life be without romance? We had the good fortune to meet via an internet dating agency in 2009. We are now getting married. Instead of presents we would like to support a local organisation started by a clinical psychologist colleague of Judith's called Chris Jones. For many reasons it is very hard for people with learning disabilities to find love, sex and romance. MatesnDates is the Oxfordshire based dating agency for people with learning disabilities. Launched in 2007, it now has over 300 members. It runs on a tight budget, but loads of goodwill. All its funding is from charitable donations. All support is gratefully received.

To read more about MatesnDates please go to http://www.matesndates.org.uk/Article.pdf.

As well as some photos of us, we have also included some photos of MatesnDates members that Chris has permission to use in the public domain. MatesnDates is hosted by Guideposts Trust. They will ensure all money raised via our page will get to MatesnDates.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

with many thanks
